I love Picmonkey... it is so easy to use...
I did a quick collage in seconds of some
Stylecraft Special DK which arrived today....
Stylecraft Special DK collage |
making a quick collage is a great way of putting
colours together to see if they work...or to
plan a granny blanket for example...
Just load all your pics in and jiggle them
about...you could even print out the result
as a template for your blanket!
Hmmm.....
I need to make a baby boys blanket...
Have you visited Ana's lovely blog, "Lanas & Hilos"?
Ana is in Guatemala and she has just finished
a beautiful granny tiled blanket... -
I'm going to try something similar I think...
The baby (who lives over the road) has already
been born, so I'd better get a move on!
I love picmonkey too!!! Your blanket is going to be divine with those bluish colors. Are you going to use a white blackground? Thank you for mentioning my blog and my blanket ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi Ana! I hope my blanket will turn out as beautiful as yours! Yes, white background, and stripey edging... Your blog is well worth a mention :)x
DeleteYour blanket colours are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of PicMonkey before. It's so easy to use and really useful! Thanks!
Thanks Sally :)
DeleteThats a good way of planning a new blanket :)
ReplyDeleteI'd used Picmonkey before - its quite good. I still miss the ease of Picnik though.
Thanks Vicki... yes I miss Picnik... but now that PicMonkey do collages I am getting over it :)x

ReplyDeleteThanks! The baby lives over the road sadly... mine are very much grown up.. :)x
DeleteI spend waaaaayyy too much time playing on Picmonkey! It's addictive - a bit like blogging, and Pinterest and Stumbleupon...etc...etc! Grand idea about using it to work out colours tho Jill, so thanks for that. My family will write to you when they don't get their dinner or clean clothes or lunches made cos I'm too busy playing!!!!!!!! Hee hee..... Much love xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Laura... is it playing though.. surely you are just exercising your creative brain...essential to your health and well being? Just tell the family that a lady in the UK says you have to be on the computer for at least an hour a day to keep you healthy :) (and don't give them my address!)Hugs, JIll x
DeleteI've just ordered some of those same colours this week for a baby boy just born, the mum sits next to me while I watch middle and big's swimming lessons....to be honest I'm sure a lot of people think I'm a little odd with my different projects each week....but hey-ho.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing your blanket. Have a good weekend.x
OOo we'll have to compare results Faith :) Last night I was out for a meal and a young man asked if crochet was what you see grannies doing with needles... oh my goodness! -We may be odd Faith...but we are happy and odd :) Hugs, Jill x (hope the move preparations are going well xx)
